When they micro/nano trench, its still getting put into conduit. Think of the flex tube piping you normally see at the box going into a building. After it is put down, its sealed over. So, if it were to be cut, it would be replaceable fairly easy, I would think. They are only putting that flex conduit when it crosses roads, everything else is normal conduit, this is just a means of crossing roads easier.
