Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in technical operations with at least two years in a management and/or supervisory capacity. Must be well versed in fiber optic node technology, powering, RF and coax design. Experience or demonstrated understanding of FTTX, node and node split architecture. Must have strong organizational and planning skills with a demonstrated history of successful leadership.
Other Requirements
Preference given to Central and northern CA residents. Temporary lodging provided for successful candidates. Out of area applicants will bear relocation costs with reimbursement upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period.
Job Description
Successful Manager candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Construction Manager and Senior Project Manager to plan, schedule and execute strategies for the successful technical operations of a variety of projects. This will include the recruitment and training when necessary of fiber and coax technicians and splicers to perform network expansions, node splits and commercial installations.
Supervisors will be responsible for the quality and safety oversight of crews under their direction. This includes ensuring that all crews maintain best practices and craftsmanship. Supervisors also conduct periodic inspections of tools, equipment and vehicles.
Manager will provide advice and guidance to other departments heads including engineering, walk-out and permitting to ensure that schedules are maintained.
Manager will also participate in regular planning and update meeting with the customer as often as the customer requests.
Manager (with staff) is responsible for all reporting activities within the scope of his projects. This includes the accurate and timely delivery of invoicing and all receivables to the customer.
