We are looking for a Fiber Splicing Manager for our Leander, TX location.

The Fiber Splicing Manager will oversee the field Fiber Splicing for revenue-generating customer projects within one of the company's market areas: Austin, San Antonio, or Corpus Christi. Projects typically fall into specific work categories as outlined below.

Aerial Fiber splicing, testing and activation.

Underground Fiber splicing, testing and activation.

Internal Fiber splicing, testing and activation.

This is a working position; the Fiber Splicing Manager is expected to perform all supervisory responsibilities as well as performing hands-on work in the field.


What you will do:
Supervise Field Employees: Oversee Aerial, Underground, and Internal Fiber Splicing teams to ensure project execution and meet efficiency/productivity goals.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and communicate goals to Fiber Splicing Managers to ensure budget adherence and contribute to overall company budget goals.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high-quality workmanship, timely project completion, and accurate documentation to meet customer requirements.
Customer Relations: Maintain a positive, professional image and strong relationships with customers, vendors, employees, and the community.
Asset Protection: Safeguard company assets, including equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials, at job sites and in the office/warehouse.
Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company rules, policies, and procedures for assigned customer projects.
Work Quality Standards: Monitor and enforce work quality, site maintenance, and customer interaction standards to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, OSHA regulations, NESC standards, and company safety programs. Minimize injury occurrences and maintain safety meeting protocols.
Environmental & Electrical Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA) and relevant electrical codes at all job sites.
Resource Allocation: Assist in scheduling and resource allocation (labor, equipment, tools, and materials) to meet project timelines and maximize efficiency.
Documentation Management: Ensure accurate and timely submission of required paperwork, including daily reports, employee timesheets, receipts, and field information for customer invoicing.

What you will need:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Trade school certification, or coursework related to Fiber Optic Splicing and Testing.

Required: A valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Fiber Optics.

Preferred: Supervisory experience in a telecommunications infrastructure construction organization.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, employees, and the community.

Strong understanding of customer needs and ability to represent B. Robinson, Inc. effectively in all customer interactions.

In-depth knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Supervisory skills, including leadership, planning, decision-making, problem-solving, conflict resolution, communication, and training.

Ability to manage multiple construction/service projects simultaneously, ensuring budget compliance, on-time completion, and exceeding customer expectations.

Strong ability to understand project requirements and manage documentation across multiple projects.

Proficient in using computer-based systems (MS Word, Excel, cloud applications) for project communication and documentation.
