Job Description
West Penn Utilities is an underground utility construction company. We install telecommunication lines for Comcast and Verizon, as well as work in the private sector. We are currently looking to hire another Underground Drop Bury Surveyor to our team.
Willing train how to perform the work required to fill this position with the right employee.
Job will be to survey jobs to install service lines to homes from assigned connection locations using measurements and place white lines down for an estimated path. Will need to draw up the survey with pen and paper using basic shapes, such as squares, lines, circles, ect as needed. Employee will arrive at office and work will be prepared for the employee to survey for the day. Employee will use a company vehicle to travel to each job and return at the end of the day with the completed surveys.
Requirements
Punctuality and reliability, we need all employees to be available for work 5 days a week and arrive to work on time.
Ability to walk job sites safely/lift up to 50 lbs at one time.
Ability to perform standard math
Ability to follow safety requirements of equipment used
Ability to work in all weather conditions; heat, snow, rain, wind, ect.
As well as the ability to perform other similar tasks as required to complete each project
Ability to learn tricks and trades of the business to make work smoother and go faster
