Pay
Pay based on skill & experience. $25/hour and up for experienced operator/locator. 401k, health & dental, paid holidays, PTO days. sign on bonus paid after 90 days . Referral of new employee program bonuses also
Qualifications
Perfect hire will be able to read prints, operate all the equipment surrounding directional drilling. be able to locate for and operate drill. Able to use utility locator to verify existing utility location. Drive trucks safely and back trailers effectively. know simple maintenance of equipment surrounding drill crew operations. Be willing to be part of a team and do other duties to aid other underground crews when necessary.
Other Requirements
CDL license a definite plus.
Job Description
Looking for someone that can step right in on bore crew and operate and locate in all aspects of directional drilling. Be willing to train on any aspects of underground construction that you aren't proficient. Our typical work is large build fiber projects placing direct bury or small duct paths. We generally work in western Ohio and Eastern Indiana, but some crews will go south in winter and will travel a little farther away for the right projects. Looking for someone that lives within driving distance to be able to go home on weekends or commute daily to jobsite. We run plow crews and drill crews, so operating mini excavators is a plus. Manual shoveling is always going to be part of our industry and everyone must be willing to take their part. We like our employees to cross train in as many aspects of the process as possible. Makes employee and team more valuable and flexible. Working in a team environment and having a can do attitude is a must.
