Job Description
Key Roles for the Position:

• Network Maintenance
• Locates
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for providing administrative, construction and organizational support for the fiber optic outages, damage repairs and splicing.
• Responsible for the coordination, and operation of a process to repair the fiber optic cable system.
• Activities include interfacing with designers, construction managers, and construction contractor, and coordinating invoicing.
• Determining needs for specific fiber maintenance and coordinates and provides support.
• This position performs all job requirements under Permit & Utilities requirements as needed.
• Plan and coordinate all construction activities for damage repairs and on demand maintenance from start to finish and by due date.
• Accurately and timely complete and submit all BOM associated with each job.
• Provide administrative and organizational support for work associated with scheduled cutovers.
• Reviews design/construction projects.
• Organizes regular reports on the status of fiber optic cable conflicts.
• Evaluates cost estimates, bid tabulations and contractor performance.
• Budget by analyzing expenditures, inspection of work being performed and makes recommendations form field changes and manpower usage.
• Collects and organizes information on future projects by attending regularly scheduled meetings.
• Interacts with outside agencies, municipalities, State agencies, utilities, special interest groups, and the public.
• Use company database to approve drawings and approve work orders.
• Hold weekly meetings to discuss planned relocations and schedule future cutover dates.
• Performs other duties as they are assigned.
