Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Optic Fiber Installer who is a team player with a can-do attitude, and is able to balance different hats while being immersed in a startup environment.
We are looking for someone who is resourceful, self-motivated and efficient, while providing excellent customer service to our unique customer base. Communication is key, and we want someone who is reliable, can easily work alone as well with our team, and exhibits initiative in achieving company objectives and required tasks. We provide specialized tools, iPhone, tech incentives, and on-going paid training to help master your skill level.
Your general duties and requirements are, but not limited to:
Performs and supports OSP (OH/UG) and ISP installations and changes of service, while adhering to applicable codes, requirements, guidelines, company procedures, and safe work practices while out in the field.
Perform and or support GPON/AE and or other customers services installations.
Utilizes in-house tools (e.g. Field Service Lightning) to ensure an accurate record of installation process is captured to ensure that customers have a positive experience throughout the ongoing customer relationship.
Communicates, engages, and provides customers with education on the installation process, products and services.
Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements.
Through the use of sound judgement and decision making, troubleshoots and problem solves customer inquiries and concerns to ensure products and services are working properly to drive a positive customer experience.
Persists and finishes projects despite obstacles with little supervision, take extra steps to prevent mistakes, or create opportunities to further engage customers with our products and services and enhance the ever-evolving customer relationship.
Provides support in the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of OSP/ISP fiber networks in the field and hub to ensure optimum network usage and quality.
Perform Field OSP (OH/UG) and ISP installations to support network growth and service installs.
Performs fiber optic testing, power meter, OTDR and VFL testing, in support of service installation and or maintenance.
Perform Fiber optic splicing in support of service installation and or maintenance.
Perform OSP and ISP technical and construction support of service installations.
Perform Aerial and Underground construction functions as needed to support service installations.
Perform other duties as needed or defined by Management.
Perform other duties as required, but not limited to job description.
Perform and participate in On-Call rotation work as needed and scheduled.
Perform over-time and or after hours emergency response and restoration as needed and or requested.
Submit all field notes according to company standards immediately after each visit.
Must have a clean DMV record.
Experience and certifications preferred.
