Job Description

We are looking for a fulltime Lineman/Splicer to fill a key role within our organization. This position will operate in and around the town Atherton, CA. This is a unique environment with a lot of diverse challenges. Your safety, professionalism and attention to detail are key to success within this role. Adherence to GO95 is also Very important in this role.


This will be a salaried Monday through Friday position with a beginning salary range of $90k-$120k depending upon experience. Overtime, nights and weekends and on-call rotation may be necessary.


Must have a valid drivers license and clean DMV record. willing to discuss

Splicer Duties

Able to splice large count fibers 432/864 in 450D/600D and panels as well as repair damage to existing cables, (natural or manmade)

Section/cable throws, terminate and test GPON and AE services using OTDR/OPM

Knowledge of how to fusion splice both (or whichever is preferred) Ribbon or Loose tube

Construct a proper splice case, including but not limited to: grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage and sealing

Various other fiber related troubleshooting

Capable of handling field necessitated minor design changes

Proper documentation and electronic logging of all work performed and times

Create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams

Ability to Multitask and work under time constraints


Lineman Duties

Experienced on pole transfers and removal, and makeready

Building strand and down guys ,framing poles, etc

Raising, lowering, and transferring strand and lashing fiber, placing anchors

Tree trimming, general vegetation management

Ability to work in inclement weather

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, design drawings, as-builts, intents, etc.

Familiar with a variety of construction tools and vehicles ranging from bucket trucks, reel trailers, boring machines, winches, etc.

Familiar with correct traffic control procedures
