Can’t help you with a less expensive OTDR. But I will give you a piece of advice that has served me well as a contractor. I have always bought the best test equipment money can buy. Because as a contractor, I want undisplayable test results. If you use a lessor OTDR or any test equipment for that matter, your results may be challenged.
