You need a 600 Lb break a way when pulling out, if tension exceeds the 600 lb..it will break apart and not cause harm to the fiber.  Don't trust tension to a rope unless you purchase the rope based on tensle strength.  Mylar is best, light weight but I've seen it hang up in roller blocks.   If your ever under a NO splice Clause, it can be pretty expensive if you damage the fiber, especially if you have a 20,000 reel.
