Personally, I have zero interest in working for an hourly rate. The only hourly rate that I use is for time troubleshooting. Everything else is piece rate. Why would I limit myself by an hourly rate? If I work hard at an hourly rate, I make more money for "the man". If I work hard for piece rate, I make that extra money for me and "the man" gets a quality product in a timely manner. Win-win.
