been out of te loop science 2009 but i swept from 98 -09 have seen many backword taps sweep fine no roll off found them due to trouble call but that was at 860 or below swept 1 G  dont rember seeing backward tap but lots of equipment would roll off from 860-1000 especially dc8 where all the sweep work dont mean to highjack thread this is very informative
