Re: What is a prime?

What you will see referred to on here as a Prime is a First Tier Contractor for an System Owner such as Spectrum, ATT, Verizon and other system owners. Everyone else is a subcontractor from the "Prime" or a sub of a sub and on down the food chain. What you want is to work for these Prime's so that you aren't paying 1,2 or 3 other guys cuts out of the pie. The money is better that way and the possibility of getting paid for your work is much higher!
