What if they gave a hurricane, and nobody came

See if any of this sounds familiar. A catastrophic storm occurs. Be it hurricane, ice or tornado. The usual calls go out to those,  that companies know they can count on for good clean craftsmanship. You arrive at the destination. And low and behold, it starts to become "Old home week". The same faces you have been seeing for years at these types of gatherings. Hey theres Joe. Havnt seen him since Katrina. And we all know those guys in the rickety old hoopties, that still manage to do great work. Despite what anyone is thinking of them. But, wait. Wheres old So and So. You later find out they are'nt allowed anymore, because of questionable billing tactics. What is happening in the industry is that MSO's are requiring more and more from us. No felonies. No drugs. No misdemeanors in the last five years. And, know this is driven by insurance companies that are charging more and more for the services, they hope to never pay out on. So, lets summarize: MSO's are making more money, due to the quality of the people that are still able to find work in the industry. Insurance companies are making more money, because they have managed to weed out anyone that could be of any risk to them. Are premiums going down because of the refined perameters that we are held to. No. SO, WHO IS NOT MAKING MORE MONEY? Anyone? So, to this end, I say. Unionization, no. Organization, YES. We are the only ones in control of our own destinies. What if they gave a Hurricane, and nobody came?
