Siecor EST Micro fiber

I ran in to this kind of fiber last year while doing some upgrades. It's made by Siecor called EST Micro. Didn't have a count id on the sheath but they were generally all small counts. (Less than 18F) Anyway... splicing this type of fiber was a headache. When stripping it, the coating came off real easy, and it felt like the diameter of the fiber was slightly smaller than fibers made nowadays. Had a hard time cleaving it, and i had to adjust the blade height to get it to cut right. When splicing, it would burn hotter than what I was splicing to.. another SM fiber. Would have to try and splicing it 4 or 5 times before it would get a good burn. Has anyone ran in to this type of fiber before? I'm using a Fuji 60S and a Fitel S178. Both would have a hard time. I tried to look up this type of fiber online and I can't find anything.
