Just did it here in WA a month or so ago. I have had basic cable for 10yrs (ever since I lost my job with that piece of crap company). I used to receive the channels with my digital tuner in my TV and receive the channels in HD quaility. They sent me this small standard def box and if i wanted my HD channels back i would of had to pay extra for a HD box.
Went out and bought a antenna that weekend. Its up and running have pretty much the same channels I had with basic cable except for Discovery and CBC. Picture looks great and in with the cancellation of comcast the antenna will be paid for in 4 months. Just use my FiOS internet for Netflix and Amazon prime.
