Re: Hawaii

Hell if I was moving to Hawaii I would learn bait rigging and proper fillet methods

find it all on the Internet, Deck hands there make $1200 to $1500 a day there on off shore charters, you make 20% of a $12,000 full day charter plus tips, most boats have 3 crew on them on a 50ft open fisherman, 8 fisherman boat, Capt, Gaffer & Rigger, you make your tips on the dock, by filleting the catch, or prepping the fish for shipping back to the mainland.

It's about 14 hour day, because after the customers are all gone, you have to restock and scrub the boat for the next day, most gaffers & riggers can't take the 7 day work week.

Work it for the 10 month season and bank it and buy your own boat the next season.

The Captains will help you get a start, there are more people that come to the islands to fish then their are boats to go out on.
