I prefer the Calan over any other sweep gear. Unfortunately, most cable companies don't use them. Very user friendly and has a screen that you can actually see... unlike other devices. I always use a Calan to look for ingress...mine is 15 years old and going strong...don't know what the newest version looks like, but you can find plenty of used meters dirt cheap.
