digital compression problems

We recently did a 6:1 digital compression to add some channels in our plant and all of a sudden we have been swamped with calls about televisions not picking up the newly compressed channels. Most televisions seem to work fine but some will not even recognize these channels during the scan process and some will recognize a few but not all of them. Does any one have any suggestions? I am of the belief that we dont have some of the parameters on the compression unit set right.
