Small Claims or Attorney?

My HSP has stopped giving the small company I work for work.  It had nothing to do with me.  I generally do good solid work and will continue to.  But as it is I am out of a job.  I don't think they will be giving my company any work ever again.  I am thinking of suing my HSP.  I have a whole lot of evidence of fraud (chargebacks for FSRs where customers wanted to give tips or return tools, etc.) on paper and so on.  A lot of evidence of real shady practices.  I also got a settlement from them for overtime just recently.  I would like to get my chargeback money back from them at least.  It would be less than the small claims minimum and I think I have a good case.  Has anyone ever had a situation like this before?  Should I try the small claims route or do I need to consult an attorney?  It just wouldn't be enough to justify an attorney filed lawsuit.  Thanks for any input.
