All good things take time and with experience comes wisdom. At your age a mistake in your career is not uncommon. While your reasoning is sound, the glitter of fast money might not work out in the long run. AT&T is a sound company and not going away any time soon. While 5 years is a signifigent amount of time, the opertunity of 30 years employement is a rare thing in todays world. Take it from a 50+ year old cabledog that if I could have stayed in-house, union or not, I would have said no to the glitter and be better off today. Still bustin my hump and runnin and jumpin when told after all these years. Good luck.
