DTV Techs, what do you think?

Tech goes to a house with trees. The garage is an option for dish placement but would require more than 125ft of cable to the SWM splitter, then whatever the distance is to each receiver. Tech says he can't install because over 125ft cable runs can cause signal degradation and dish issues and calls it a NLOS. The retailer had this to say:

"This customer called into the Best Buy and said that they couldn't be installed due to NO LINE of SITE on one side of the house due to trees because that is what the installer told them. The installer also said that they could move it to the other side of the house but that would require more than 125 feet of cable and that they couldn't do that. Obviously we know that isn't true at all and the customer would just have custom install fees. The customer hates their current provider so much and wants DTV to the point that they would be willing to pay the custom install fees for the 125 feet of extra cable and have indicated that to the store. They simply cancelled because the installer told them that the couldn't get it. My rep told them that they could get it but they would have the custom install fees for the extra cable and they still want it and have called into the store indicating that.

My concern is why would the installer just not want to install this job because of that and is this a trend of the installers here? This customer is currently in the system as "Cancelled" but still wants to install and is willing to pay the custom fees, which were NEVER brought up to them after being told that it would be more than 125 feet of cable by the installer and that we couldn't do that."
