What causes low SNR reading in CMTS port?

We use CMTS ports to monitor SNR in our system?  We have an SNR issue on one port that comes and goes.
The low SNR reading shows up mostly at night.  We've narrowed it down to one leg with two actives left in cascade.  What's a great way to eliminate this.  Before I can reach the specific device causing the problem the SNR reading returns to the desired green levels.  We're using BBX to monitor.

Also, my sweep is good.  Max/min's are 2.5.
