Trey9007 is wrong about the RTW state deal about being allowed to opt out of a union, but forgoing union benefits. My father-in-law works in a union shop for Qwest, chose not to pay his dues or participate in his union, but still recieves full union wages and benefits. Here in Idaho, you still recieve all the benefits of a union shop without being required to pay dues. However, the more people who opt out, the weaker the union becomes.
