Job Description
Join the FiberWorx Team
We are seeking a Fiber Installer to become a part of our team! Our projects are currently located in the Pearl River & Hancock County Mississippi area. You will be assisting with the installation the new Fiber to the Home (FTTH) internet service.
Responsibilities:
Installation of aerial and underground fiber optic cable to homes
Splice fiber optic cable using a fusion splice machine
Perform construction work such as digging holes, operating plows, and mounting equipment
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform routine preventative maintenance
Track all equipment and supplies
Work independently to get your jobs completed in a timely manner
Deliver a positive customer/member experience
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction, telcom, cable tv, maintenance, or other related fields preferred
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
Possess a valid state driver license
Perceive differences in wire and cable colors
Climb poles & ladders up to 24 feet high and work aloft with hand tools
Work outside in all kinds of weather
Ability to handle physical workload including lifting up to 65 lbs
Use computers, tablets, and/or smart phones to update work status and check new assignments
Possess or can get valid insurances as required
Ability to work well in teams
Ability to prioritize and multitask
