Qualifications
Must have a minimum of two years in the telecommunications industry, specific to aerial and underground construction. Ability to motivate crews, handle multiple tasks and to meet tight deadlines.
Other Requirements
You will be communicating with customers, vendors, crews and senior management. You will be working in the field as well as in an office.
Job Description
Aerial Construction:
(1) Ability to safely climb utility poles
(2) Operate Aerial Lift trucks
(3) Able to read and understand underground construction plans, permits and traffic plans
(4) Ability to place Aerial drops on support strand (GO 95)
(5) Place Fiber optics cables
(6) Create As-Builts, read prints and specs, and track paperwork for the completed work
Underground Construction
(1) Able to read and understand underground construction plans, permits, and traffic plans
(2) Ability to mark, identify and understand underground utility markings (USA)
(3) Safely utilize equipment when Trenching/ Boring or Hand digging in the vicinity of existing underground utilities
(4) Trench and or Bore in conduits and place Fiber Optic and other cables
(5) Install Pull Box's
(6) Remove and Replace Concrete and Asphalt sidewalks and streets
(7) Create As-builts , read prints and specs, and track paperwork for the completed work
MDU Construction:
(1) Fiber Cable would be for Aerial and or OSP existing manhole placed conduit. Splicing and testing required.
(2) Installation of associated racks and batteries as needed for N Gant project
(3) Construction build for smaller projects & MDU installations for Rad Communications
Construction Supervisor
(1) Minimum of two years in the telecommunications industry
(2) A positive attitude and excellent communication and problem-solving skills (3)Understanding of construction methods and materials
(4)Potential candidate must be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, able to clearly communicate in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform with a high level of professionalism (5)Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and word processing programs
(6)Flexibility in working overtime as needed to meet project deadlines
RESPONSIBILITES:
-Tracking all jobs and keeping the client and others informed about project status and issues that may impact schedules
-Updating systems and reports with project status as directed by the client
-Implementing new processes and procedures as set forth by the client
-Creating and maintaining project files, bid files, and associated documentation
