Job Description
We are seeking a Field Walkout Technician who will provide a detailed route from the existing plant to the customer defining all construction requirements for the proposed route. This position is responsible for performing commercial walkout surveys to provide new service to end user and ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. Commercial Survey experience is a must!
Responsibilities
• Perform commercial walkout surveys to provide new service to end user.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
• Follow guidelines to provide detailed route from existing plant to customer demark noting all construction types required along proposed route.
• Perform asbuilt or new build walkouts.
Requirements
• 2+ years of cable mapping experience a must.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the fielding process with hands on experience in CATV asbuilt and new build walkouts is required.
• Knowledge of cable design and basic construction practices of cable systems.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, & PDF Editor.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies.
• Must be highly responsible and self-motivated.
Additional Information
• This is a full-time, production-based, position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Company vehicle and necessary tools will be provided.
• Local travel required.
• Perform field walkout assignments daily over varying terrain and in all weather conditions.
• Full benefit package offered.
Shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required.
