Job Description
We are seeking a Field Walkout Technician who will perform walkout of new or existing (as-built) cable plant following specifications provided by customer.
Responsibilities
• Perform new build or as-built mapping.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
• Follow guidelines to provide detailed accurate route of existing or new build plant.
Requirements
• 2+ years of cable mapping experience a must.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the fielding process with hands on experience in CATV asbuilt and new build walkouts.
• Knowledge of cable design and basic construction practices of cable systems.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies.
• Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, & PDF Editor.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies.
• Must be highly responsible and self-motivated.
Additional Information
• This is a full-time, production-based, position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Company vehicle and necessary tools will be provided.
• Hotel expenses paid for in-house employees.
• Must be willing to travel 100%.
• Must have flexibility and willingness to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
• Perform field walkout assignments daily over varying terrain and in all weather conditions.
• Full benefit package offered.
Shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required.
