5-7 years of CATV Field Engineering or Construction experience
Other Requirements
Must be able to pass drug screen, background check and I9 verification, Valid Drivers License, vehicle with appropriate insurance. Surveying wheel, CATV can wrench, surveying binocular/monocular for spotting equipment on poles without access.
Job Description
This would be a contract 1099 contractor position with production pay of $175/mile and $2.45 per MDU address (MDU ONLY). Pay terms are net 30 days
Company will supply prints showing existing routes and equipment per plant records.
• Verify cables per maps provided – notate changes as per field verification
• Notate visual damage to cable
• Verify/notate amp locations
• Verify equipment locations and/or changes
• Open peds to verify cable size/continuation/dead stop/empty ped
• Verify span footages
• Identify address number and type of property (MDU/SFU/ETC)
• Drop placement type (i.e. aerial/ug) and pole/ped fed from
• Improper guying/anchoring (notate where attached to power – CATV required to set their own anchor)
• Broken lashing wire
• Notate vegetation needing trimming
• Notate no access to property
• Record time spent per node
• Show dead cables. If there is more than 1 cable indicate 2x dead cable
• Show Fiber with Can locations and loops.
Based on performance this position would be considered for transition to full time with benefits.
