Minimum 1 year of Coaxial Splicing experience, ability to handle multiple tasks and last minute changes per customer or company mandate, high school diploma or GED, must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license, must be able to pass a background check, motor vehicle check, drug test and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.

Job Description

Kanaan Communications, LLC is currently seeking full time Experienced Coax Splicer positions.

• Splice hardline cable systems using hand tools or mechanical equipment.
• Understand and evaluate the difference between P1, P3, MC2, & QR. Understanding the difference between Amphenol, PPC, LRC and Gilbert connectors.
• Able to read cable prints for installation of passives and actives. Able to able to read tombstones on a basic level
• Access specific areas to string lines and install taps, splitters amplifiers, auxiliary equipment, and appliances, using bucket trucks, or by climbing poles and ladders or entering tunnels, trenches, or crawl spaces.
• Use of heat shrink, duct seal, and bishop tape
• Clean and maintain tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of safe operation of a bucket truck.
• Pole climbing experience preferable.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, in accordance with regulations.
• Other Tasks as determined by Management
• Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
• Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.


Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of Coaxial Splicing experience.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license of at least 2 years
Must be able to pass a background check, Motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
Ability to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and last minute changes per customer or company mandate.
Supervisory experience in cable television, telecommunications or customer- service industry a plus.
