Qualifications
Actual field fiber optic fusion splicing, OTDR testing, enclosure preparation, and fiber blueprint reading trumps a simple "certification" to splice fiber.

All tools, equipment and vehicles provided.
Job Description
Job involves working independently and with teams mostly on fiber maintenance projects. Most work is multiple locations with minimal splicing at each location. Some inside splicing at termination panels. Streetside splicing in splice trailers or splice trucks. Aerial bucket truck used to access aerial closures. Only occasional bulk production splicing. Night work in the maintenance window required frequently. On-call rotation for 24-hour emergency restoration required.
