Job Description
Kanaan Communications, LLC is currently seeking a CATV Design Technician. Our mission is to successfully bid, design and permit projects nationwide. Our group consists of individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and strengths. Together as a team, we have been very successful in our efforts and have earned a high level of respect within the industry.
Responsibilities:
-Perform jurisdictional discovery, translate field notes into CAD format, design the intended route or site and permit the appropriate jurisdiction.
-Create designs/drafts using AutoCAD, Spatial Net, Lode Data, Bentley Comms, or other software.
-Produce, consistent, high quality CATV designs/maps.
-Maintain high level production rates.
-Learn new software and adapt to new technologies when required.
-Reliable attendance and willing to work to project completion against deadlines
-Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, management and customer or local representatives.
Qualifications:
-1+ years AutoCAD experience.
-Experience with Lode Data, SpatialNet, Bentley Comms and --Google Earth experience is a plus.
-Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
-Strong time management skills, including getting projects completed on time.
-Be detail-oriented and quality-minded.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong Microsoft Office computer skills.
-Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check.
-Must possess a valid driver’s license.
