Job Description and Responsibilities :
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing all operational finance activities for the assigned market(s).
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide first-line financial support to Project Managers; recognize financial issues and drive resolution
Manage weekly verification of all market-level projects in Company and customer databases
Support project true-up and closures and ensure all costs are recorded to projects prior to close
Recognize accounting anomalies and flags, and analyze the impact on project financials
Oversee purchase order administration, including timely PO issuance, in concurrence with the negotiated pricing and terms
Communicate with peers and management relating to project close, potential roadblocks, and the status of deliverables
Communicate with the customer’s market-level financial group
Execute and manage special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Job Duties:
Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters
Requirements :
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BS) from 4-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Minimum three to six years of experience with a Finance or Accounting background preferred
Prior experience with market-level financial management
Advanced understanding of profit/loss and estimates vs actuals
Knowledge of key accounting items and the impact on project financials
Technical Skills:
Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Excel; specifically pivot tables, v-lookup, and macros
Proficient in project accounting mechanics
Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
Sitting at a desk for 6-8 a day
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Travel up to 5% of the time, including short notice travel, which may include local site travel or national travel depending on business needs
