Job Description
Full Time Warehouse attendant / Driver for telecommunications company located in Van Alstyne, TX.
• Customer Service
• Assist all customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
• Verify all loads to ensure full and accurate customer deliveries
• Deliver material to customer sites in a safe and timely manner, including unloading of material at the designated location
• Engage with customers at delivery location to ensure satisfaction with order fulfillment and material quality Address customer issues independently or in conjunction with management as required
• Load deliveries onto truck independently
• Pull and prepare orders, including staging for shipment. Assure product is properly stacked, organized, and secured on pallets
• Receive, verify, stage and stock/inventory all incoming material
• Maintain inventory control by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer.
• Safely utilize PIT (power industrial trucks) equipment (Forklift, Order Picker, Reach Truck, etc.) to pull and move product onto trucks and throughout the warehouse.
• Ensure security of load before and throughout delivery
• Conduct pre and post-delivery vehicle inspections and report any concerns to management
• Understand and abide by all DOT regulations and standards (if applicable)
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping trucks, shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust, and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
• Must have a minimum Class C license, with a clean driving record
• Must present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
• Must have proficient computer skills; previous experience with, office programs (outlook, excel)
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing industry
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required
• Must be able to work positively within a team environment
• Must be able to learn quickly and have a desire to succeed
• Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions with minimal assistance
• Regular, timely attendance is required to meet customer needs in an efficient and effective manner
