QualTek is the company of choice for providing technical labor, project management and support services to the wireless, wireline and satellite industries. Job Description and Responsibilities :
The Director of Recruiting is responsible for building a strong, consultative staffing department to serve the diverse business units by developing and implementing recruiting strategies, managing the day-today staffing, developing recruiting policies, managing and reporting on the overall status of recruiting activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead and manage all staffing efforts in the US and Canada

Partner with Senior Management throughout the organization for early identification of current and future staffing needs and then develop strategies to ensure those needs are met

Define requirements, accountabilities, skill-sets needed for the staffing department to carry out its function

Responsible for the data integrity of ATS and establish key performance metrics for recruiting function, track and report to monitor and improve performance

Design and implement a cohesive talent acquisition strategy to support the company’s strategic and growth initiatives

Identify, implement best practices as the relate to processes, tools, systems, training and metrics to support and track the success of the staffing department, based on internal customer satisfaction

Develop outcome metrics in addition to the process metrics in place

Engage and manage external vendors

Provide direction and professional development for the staffing team. Build and/or develop a team that is competent, professional, responsive to customers and highly motivated to achieve/exceed objectives

Participate in making final hiring decisions; facilitate development of an offer and on-boarding process

Ensures all Recruiting activities are consistent with the organization’s policies and procedures

Implement programs to and policies to attract the best talent

Other duties as assigned


Requirements :

7+ years of recruiting experience in a search firm, agency or in-house corporate talent acquisition team with demonstrated expertise in full cycle recruiting. The majority should be focused technology or service industry

5 years+ team management, leadership and development experience

Expertise in managing recruiting for high volume contingent workforce

Thorough understanding of job market and hiring trends, early indicators of change, and strategies to adapt quickly to a changing hiring environment

Proven and successful experience leading a high-performing recruiting team of a rapidly growing organization, resulting in the acquisition and retention of top talent markets

Experience establishing credibility and working relationships with Senior Level Executives

Ability to develop and maintain meaningful hiring metrics

Experience with a broad range of recruiting methodologies including the implementation of internal sourcing capabilities, direct sourcing, networking, professional organizations, internet and referrals

Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done in tandem with participating in complex strategy discussions. You work well in a team and have the confidence to run independently at times.

Excellent follow through, judgment, communication and negotiating skills

Ability to thrive in very fast-paced environment

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Communication Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and understand the most complex documents; Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints; Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style; Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Applicant Tracking Systems; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Interpersonal Skills

Must be a strategic and creative decision maker, be self-motivated working under minimal supervision, be highly adaptive and welcoming to change, have a keen eye for detail, and be highly organized. He must also have an ability to multitask, have the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, have exceptional problem solving skills, and demonstrate composure in times of uncertainty and stress, inspiring the same in his juniors.


Leadership/People Skills

Must also have executional leadership skills and have demonstrated a passion for change leadership with an ability to transform, inspire, and align a team of professionals. The candidate must also have an ability to build strong and lasting relationships with others and inspire trust and confidence in them, which will enable him to pull in the best talents in the market into the business.


Additional Skill

Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements, must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, may be required to work long and unpredictable hours , travel up to 50% of the time, including short notice travel, which may include local site travel or national travel depending on business needs.
