This is a full-time, FLSA Exempt, Benefit Eligible position reporting to the Fleet Manager. This position will be responsible for assisting the Fleet Manager in administration, oversight and coordination of all fleet vehicles. This position will help to develop, create and analyze reports for compliance and federal reporting guidelines. This position will help track all equipment assignments and regular audit related items as needed.

Overview:

This salaried position will assist with the administration and coordination of Pauley’s fleet of vehicles (over 900 pieces of equipment including 300 licensed vehicles). The fleet Analyst will support compliance with government rules and regulations and manage databases, title and license vehicles as required and complete paperwork in support of fleet maintenance as needed. The Fleet Analyst will also develop reports and analyze fleet data from various sources to provide insight that improves fleet utilization and life cycle costs. Work schedules are typically 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.  May require lifting, pulling, placing, standing and sitting, as required by Pauley Construction, Inc. 

This position will be required to travel to other various Pauley Construction locations as needed.

Responsibilities:

Support the Fleet Manager in aspects of operating the fleet department as directed
Assist Fleet Manager to monitor equipment utilization and make recommendations for reassignment, I/C sale and/or disposals.
Overall responsibility for FMCSA regulation compliance to reduce driver DOT violations and citations
Reviews existing processes and develop improvements/solutions
Use various data bases to maintain data integrity of the fleet
Work with accounting group to ensure necessary paperwork is accurately completed
Clear understanding of vehicle registration process
Assist in notifying operations of needed preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
Maintains database
Responsible for timely equipment delivery to scheduled auctions as directed by Fleet Manager. Equipment must be properly prepared for sale prior to auction delivery.
Responsible for compliance
Assist with monitoring, scheduling and/or performing DOT inspections as necessary to maintain DOT compliance.
Perform DOT and Safety audits at all Pauley sites
Maintains required documents in equipment ownership files
Fuel card administration, including fuel cards, driver ID’s and reporting
Notifying field personnel of expiring documents
Assist with paperwork and title relating to disposals of assets
Support operations with setting up rental equipment as needed
Maintains Fleet GPS systems and audits vehicles for proper usage and driver performance

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in the field or related area
3 years of progressive FMCSR experience and knowledge of FMCSR regulations
Must be minimum of 21 years old to drive company vehicles/operate company equipment
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days of hire.
Must be punctual
Appropriate apparel required
Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees of all levels and vendors
Must have a wide degree of knowledge in the vehicle and maintenance field.
Be available to work overtime and emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Maintain a positive attitude with team and have good work ethics.
Maintain good public relations (interact with the public in a courteous manner)
Must have reliable transportation
Basic ability to use small tools/hand tools
Needs computer skills, a general understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Must produce a high quality of work
Must be able to multi-task in an ever changing environment while meeting company goals and maintaining a positive and productive relationship with coworkers and direct supervisor.
Must have a good working relationship with field and managers
Must have strong physical endurance for hot weather conditions, repetitive bending, stooping, lifting, transferring equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
Must pass company drug testing and background process
Keep appropriate documentation (time cards, filing, DOT and PM records, etc.)
