Qualifications

As an OSP/ISP Fiber Manager, you will lead complex projects, servicing all of our customers. You will be responsible for interacting with both internal and external customers. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, states, and time zones, and it's the Fiber Managers responsibility to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

As an Outside Plant/Inside Plant (OSP/ISP) Fiber Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently managing internal employees and sub-contractors to produce high quality deliverables to our customers. Adaptability to change and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced diverse environment are critical to success in this role.

Job Description

Responsibilities
• Frequently updating Project Managers, customers, and stakeholders on
all projects and forecasts
• Develop and implement internal procedures to efficiently lead and
manage your projects for the success of the stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally to make decisions about priorities.
• Train, motivate, and grow internal employees to support various job
functions of the technician.
• Drive positive communications and reporting, show leadership and
influence across teams.
• Manage all aspects of both ISP and OSP, not limited to, our Fiber Optic
projects, including Metro-E, Hyper Builds, FTTX, Splicing, activation,
testing, certification and restoration.
• Understand
• All deliverables are created at the highest level of accuracy, packaged
and tracked through final asbuilt completion.
• Manage a quality control process and maintain a high standard of
quality control for all projects, including prompt troubleshooting and
creative problem-solving.
• Provide effective and comprehensive support to other cross-functional
teams.
• Manage a team of employees and subcontractors to ensure that all
projects are coded properly, and billing submitted within the required
time frame.
• Manage all employee time entry, and Daily production documents.
• Manage and follow all safety policy’s and training
• Must be able to be On-Call and work long hours as needed
• Responsible for ensuring workforce compliance with all safety
regulations including all OSHA requirements
Other Qualifications
• Strong adaptability to change
• 5+ years of experience and knowledge of all aspects of Fiber Optic
Splicing as well Aerial & Underground fiber plant construction. Muxes,
EPON, FTTX, Mid-Sheath, Turn up and Test
• Must have strong leadership skills and be able to clearly communicate
• Strong flexibility and reporting skills
• Required to be present in the field and in the office as needed (70/30)
