Job Description
BFK Communication Service is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join our growing team. If you are wanting to be part of this growing team send your resume and/or come in as we are accepting applications on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday only from 9am to 2pm. (11218 Limestone Driver #4, Balch Springs, Texas. Entrance is off Peachtree next door to Paul’s Automotive)
We are located in Balch Springs. Competitive pay and permanent position available immediately.
7:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, occasionally longer hours and/or weekends. Must be flexible to work longer hours if, needed.
Responsibilities:
• Managing inventory for all trucks, trailers, heavy equipment and tools, which includes issuing them out.
• Identify problems on trucks, trailers, and equipment and/or repairs needed.
• Maintaining registration and inspections on all assets.
• Maintaining a clean work area, safe, and in orderly condition.
• Manage and maintain work order in our software database.
• Monitor cost of material, parts being delivered, and request P. O. as needed.
• Communicate problems and/or recommendations to our corporate office.
• Perform hands on work with mechanic as needed is a plus.
• Other duties deemed by supervisor.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma Required or GED equivalent.
• Warehouse and/or transportation supervisory experience. Entry- Level applicants will be considered.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) experience.
• Work Zone experience a plus.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull medium weights, up to 50-75 lbs.
• Ability to bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching and walking.
• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust.
• Strong analytical, math, data analysis, listening & communication skills
• Bi-lingual a must.
• Organization skills and detail orientated.
• Able to multi task.
• Problem Solver.
• Purchase Orders experience.
