Custom Communications, Inc. of Garner, NC

Operating across the southeast, into the northeast & mid-west, we provide industry leaders a workforce to perform residential installations, service and repairs for digital TV & Internet customers.  We are a large sub-contractor serving satellite TV and LTE for the Home and perform cell phone repairs for the largest insurer of mobile devices.  We travel extensively to serve national contracts in commercial LED conversion markets and continue to acquire new partnerships with industry leaders.

Operating to outperform and out-pay every other contractor in the industry is a core philosophy that drives our success.

We provide work to Field Technicians:
Through service agreements & equipment investments we deliver more work and inventory to our talented force of field technicians than other contractors in the industry.  This is most important to our corporate team because our Owner Operated, Independent Contractor workforce relies on our ability to deliver consistent, high paying work opportunities in the following areas:

*Satellite Video
*Satellite Internet
*Video/Audio Installations
*In Home Sales
*4G LTE to the Home
*Cell Phone Repair
*LED Lighting
 



Operations Project Manager | Road Warrior

Ideal candidates will balance involvement at different levels of the organization with localized efforts.  Bridging blue collar tech level interactions with local management in a company wide setting is the focus of the position and will involve white collar interaction with clients, vendors and leadership.  Candidates that not already understand the need for both but have specific experience and vision in this area will shine.

The position requires regular travel at least 4 days per week with possible occasions of extended out of market stays.

Usually driving company provided vehicle
Some flights commercially or in the private company plane as available


Multiple Regular Locations:
Corporate headquarters - Garner, NC with regular travel to all parts of:

*North Carolina
*South Carolina
*Georgia
*Virginia
*Maryland
*Tennessee
*Arkansas

Possible travel to anywhere in US as new projects develop.


Reporting Structure-
Oversight of Projects/Long Term Contracts at local levels:
*Lead local managers, associated technicians and sub-contractors
*Interact with upper management and department heads
*Report to operational leadership
*Interact with major clients
*Interact with vendors


Reason for the Position-
Lead local managers, associated technicians and sub-contractors:
*Help local managers, assistants & sub-contractors
*Adapt and correct localized challenges/issues
*Maintain/enforce established processes
*Performance issues
*Staffing issues

Deliver operational directives from the field up
*Roll out operational changes
*Align local strategies to company direction
*Charge into new ventures
*Take control of local markets as needed


Difficulties Facing the Team-
This position will help our team locally adapt to varying workflows by region, as certain contracts pick up, others slow down & new projects or contracts are added:

*Recruiting here vs retention there
*Stabilizing sub-contractor pay
*Opening new markets
*Juggling “out of market” resource rotations
*Adapting overhead in shrinking markets
*Broadening technician skill-sets, experience & availability


Short Term Objectives:
1. Immediate delivery of operational processes to local managers and technicians
2. Speed roll out of procedural adaptations at the technician level and up
3. Help develop new scale-able processes going forward


Long Term Objectives:
1. Grow project job counts, resource counts and territories
2. Start new projects, open new markets
3. Scale & back-fill

Compensation & Benefits:
Agreed upon salary based on qualifications, experience and how well you achieve the mission: “Outperform the competition & lead technicians to higher pay”

*Negotiable $65,000 plus

Computer Skills:
We are a small group of employees that manage a large group of fast moving contractors.  We do this through data tracking, analysis and some digital interactions.

*Excel, spreadsheets, independent data analysis, research, regular reporting – daily, weekly, monthly
*Inventory audit scanning, serial number research, etc…
*Web based workflows and management applications


Non-negotiable Requirements:
Clean Criminal History, Clean Driving Record, Agree to Drug Screen, No Open Cases.

Operational Management Experience:
*Have you managed other managers?
*Have you managed a region or multiple locations?


Contractor Management
*Have you managed a group of contractors?


Project Management Experience
