Pay
Pay will be discussed and will be dependent on experience and what tools/equipment you will have of your own.
Qualifications
Must have experience in underground drilling using the proper equipment. This includes missiling and boring. It is also preferred for you to have knowledge with OSHA dig standards and safety requirements due to drilling and use of heavy machinery.
Other Requirements
You must have your own transportation to get to the job sites. You also must have all safety gear according to OSHA standards, such as proper boots, hard hats, safety vests, etc. I can provide the drilling equipment if you do not have the equipment. However, coming to the table with your own drilling equipment will result in larger pay.
Job Description
The job will be working for miscellaneous cable companies for underground construction. I have contracts with several different companies. Therefore, there is always work that needs to be done. This work will consist of underground drilling to install cable pipes to feed the cable fiber. This work will need to be done in various forms depending on the scope of the current job. This can include drilling/boring with an underground drilling machine or missiling the shots.
My company basically does everything in the UG field. We place PFP's, hand holes, trench, bore, pull cable, and everything in between. We receive the prints for the job and do whatever it takes to get the jobs completed 100%. So I am looking for someone or a crew who likes to work and doesn't make excuses on why something cannot get done. We work hard and can sometimes get dirty in the process. So this job is not something to be taken likely. I am only looking for someone who is serious and believes in working hard for their hard-earned money and is not expecting a hand out. I am not looking for someone who constantly finds reasons to not go to work or who always makes excuses on why something is not done or they can't make it. So if this is they type of worker you are, please don't waste my time nor your time.
Our crews are on the job sites Monday-Friday, sometimes on Saturdays, maybe Sundays, in order to meet certain deadlines for larger jobs. So weekend work is a possibility at times. We don't try to work on weekends all the time, but understand there are going to be times when it has to be done. We like for the crews to be onsite ready to go around 7am-8am and usually working to about 5pm, sometimes this can be later. A lot of this is dependent on how fast and efficient you are in getting the assigned jobs done.
