Job Description

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to identify, plan, review, sketch and acquire municipal and agency permits for the proposed installation of cable and fiber optic networks in conjunction with client, agency, and NX staff collaboration.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



Outline proposed telecom network cabling and gather all necessary information to complete comprehensive drawings, applications, permits and other associated paperwork in order to gain approval from all project shareholders

Develop and implement best practices for the most accurate and least intrusive methods for applications, installation and possible maintenance applications while adhering to Company and municipality supplied criteria and specifications

Monitor the progress of the project and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the project

Identify easements and work with customers, Telecom and CATV Design teams, to resolve and solve issues in the field to ensure project deliverables are met

Interface with local, city, and state officials to obtain documentation and information needed to develop a strategy that will allow for working in rights of way and easements

Basic understanding of telecom network routing , proposed pole line, and/or underground pathways


Must possess a valid driver’s license and comply with company motor vehicle policy

Ability to comprehend public property records, land plats and blue prints is preferred, but not required



Education and/or Experience


Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
