Senior Wireless Network Engineer

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work with Sales Engineering team to assist customers in identifying and defining their wireless networking requirements.
•Assist the project team in the development of detailed project schedules for wireless deployments.
•Perform 802.11 wireless site surveys, utilizing equipment such as RF spectrum analyzers, Wi-Fi meters and Wi-Fi site surveying software.
•Install and configure 802.11 wireless networking equipment, including wireless LAN controllers, access points, routers, switches, and gateway servers.
•Maintain detailed documentation of all activities related to the assessment, implementation, and continuing support of the customer’s wireless network.
Requirements:
•Advanced knowledge of IP network routing and switching protocols.
•Strong understanding of 802.11 wireless networking concepts including outdoor Wi-Fi networks.
•Documented experience leading the installation and configuration of wireless networks.
•Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, vendors and customers/clients.
•Must be able to take direction and lead others to the completion of projects within stated timelines.
•Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications including Visio.
•College degree (or equivalent), plus 3-5 years’ experience leading the design, installation, and management of large-scale enterprise and/or service provider Wi-Fi network deployments.
•Experience performing Wireless (802.11/Wi-Fi etc.) surveys using AirMagnet Survey Pro and AirMagnet Spectrum XT software tools.
•Cisco CCNP-Routing and Switching Certification.
•Cisco CCNA-Wireless Certification.
•Experience with the installation and configuration of policy and policing gateway devices.
•CWNA certification.
Time Requirement:
•Must be dependable and able to work outside the normal Monday through Friday work week, with varying hours outside of a typical 8am – 5pm schedule.
•Travel will be required, estimated at 40-50%.
