Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assisting customers in identifying and defining their wireless networking requirements.
•Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for wireless implementations.
•Performing 802.11 wireless site surveys, utilizing equipment such as RF spectrum analyzers, Wi-Fi meters and Wi-Fi site surveying software.
•Installation and configuration of 802.11 wireless equipment, including wireless LAN controllers, access points, routers, switches, and gateway servers.
•Maintaining detailed documentation of all activities related to the assessment, implementation, and continuing support of the customer’s wireless network.

Requirements:
•Knowledge of network routing and switching protocols.
•Strong understanding of wireless networking concepts.
•Experience with the installation and configuration of wireless devices.
•Ability to interact with colleagues, vendors and customers/clients of all demographics and professional levels.
•Ability to take direction and work within timelines.
•Excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications including Visio.
•College degree or related work experience.
•Ability to conduct a software-assisted WiFi (802.11) site survey.
•2-3 years of experience in the design and installation of 802.11 wireless networks.
•Routing and Switching Certification (Cisco CCNA or similar).
•Wireless Networking Certification(s), such as those provided by WiFi device manufacturers like Cisco and Ruckus, or those provided by device-independent groups.

Time Requirement:
•Must be dependable and able to work outside the normal Monday through Friday work week, with varying hours outside of a typical 8am – 5pm schedule.
•Travel will be required up to 75% of the time.
