• Pass a background screen and drug screening
• Must have a valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
• Proof of legal ability to work in the US
Other Requirements
• 1 – 3 years aerial field related work experience
• Pole climbing experience
Job Description
Aerial fiber optic cable construction and installation.
Must be able to perform all aspects required for aerial fiber optic, copper and coax cable construction, new build, span replacements, and transfers.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
• Use bucket trucks, along with all associated aerial tools
• Transport associated tools, equipment and/or materials in a safe manner
• Complete a daily inspection on all vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in working condition
• Identify utilities in the construction area
• Tree-trimming as necessary
• Restore and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the job site
• Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment according to established company standards and procedures (i.e. time sheet, vehicle log, expense report)
• Adhere to all established company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned in order to help team complete a project
Additional Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans and specifications
• Possess general knowledge of construction practices
• Perform aerial maintenance
• Ability to work in various environments/settings with moderate to loud noise levels
• Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Ability to safely climb poles or heights up to 30’
• Ability to move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
• Able to work 10+ hours in a day when necessary
• Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions
