We reward your hard work, quality work and safety. Oregon Aerial Construction is a well-established, growing Utility Construction Contractor looking for EXPERIENCED, RELIABLE applicants to fill full time positions for Aerial Linemen and Ground Hands.
This is independent skilled work in all phases of telecom aerial construction and repair. Work entails daily problem-solving skills, job estimation, job management, pole climbing, loading and unloading equipment and materials.
ALL APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year FTTP experience required
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test
• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license (Commercial driver’s license a bonus but not required)*
• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
• Ability to work in a bucket truck with average working heights of 30 to 60 ft
• Able to perform and or willingness learn all duties in telecommunications construction (such as: pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
• Able to lift / carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• Ability to set up and maintain safe work areas
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• – Ability to be a successful team member

*Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record or be eligible and willing to acquire any needed driver's license. CDL strongly preferred.
High School Diploma from accredited school or its equivalent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as, but not limited to, wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, and more
• Safely operate mechanized equipment such as a bucket truck
• Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and or safety barriers
• Understanding of separation and clearance regulations
• Ability to safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
Tasks involve the intermittent performance of physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-75 pounds). Intermittent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavier objects (100+ pounds) and getting in and out of a truck several times a day.
