Job Description

We are looking for experienced Fiber and/or Copper Technicians perform drop work, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POTS (Plain Old Telephone), high-speed internet, ONT installations as well as residential Fiber install. This could include wiring, video equipment and voice networks. Maintaining and repairing outside copper plant, & fiber facilities within assigned geographic service areas is also included.

Specific job duties include:

Drop work includes hanging aerial drops, pulling drops in conduit/subduct
The ability to work independently in the field with little supervision.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Direct customer facing work, displaying professional appearance, demeanor when communicating products, services to customers.
Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)
Teamwork (technical expertise developed to complete work efficiently to achieve work group key service measures)
Active listening (ability to take input from customers, APS and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills)
Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions
Active learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge)


Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with ladder rack
Technician must have their own tools to perform the job as well as an android smart phone & laptop
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, a hard hat, a reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones
Must be available to work flexible hours (weekend work may be required)


Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to work various in conditions, including working in attics, crawl spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods
Physical ability to climb ladders with proper equipment (safety belt, safety strap, hard hat, and other equipment as needed).
Able to lift and carry loads up to 75lbs including ladder
