Job Description
Utilities One is looking for a qualified Directional Drilling Locator for Miami, Florida.
The Directional Drilling Locator will work with the Directional Boring Supervisor to install underground power lines using horizontal directional drilling equipment and locating devices.

Responsibilities:
• All phases of underground construction include but are not limited to loading, digging removal, and placement of various types, sizes, and weight of construction materials and equipment;
• Hand dig using a shovel, mechanical tools;
• Install and maintenance of underground cables and verify in accordance with blueprints;
• Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery to include assisting the driller with the operation of the drill;
• Assist the Directional Boring Supervisor in keeping heavy construction equipment and associated equipment clean and in good working order;
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned in order to help the team complete a project.
Qualifications:
• A valid and unrestricted CDL Class A/B;
• Knowledge of underground processes and previous experience operating directional boring equipment;
• Must have proven experience in heavy construction equipment operations with emphasis on drilling and boring machines operations;
• Read, understand, and interpret engineering plans and specifications;
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and drive or ride in a vehicle for long periods of time;
• Must be able to work independently at times and understand construction safety procedures;
• Work up to 5 days per week in an all-weather environment and be willing to travel as required.
