Job Description

CableCom is seeking an experienced Field Project Engineer to join our team in South San Francisco, California. Successful candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the telecommunications & construction industry and at least 1 year of fiber experience. Must have leadership skills in order to lead and train Project Coordinators and must have good verbal and written communication skills. We offer competitive pay and an extensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

- Report directly to the Construction Supervisor.
- Coordinate the execution of construction projects to ensure all operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
- Assume the team lead role by  offering direction and training to Project Coordinators when needed.
- Lead construction efforts along with the Construction Supervisor for project completion by predetermined deadlines   including site access scheduling.                                              
- Responsible for requisitioning materials needed for construction operations.
- Resolve complaints with property owners as needed.
- Serve as backup approver on daily production reports.
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including weekends and daily overtime when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Possess a working knowledge of CATV Underground and Aerial Construction parameters.
Possess a basic knowledge of building construction methods and codes.
Ability to read and interpret CATV System design prints.
Must have basic computer skills, be Microsoft office proficient, and be familiar with digital calendars.  
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.   
Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift. 
Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily.
Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily.
Sitting - 2 to 4 hours daily.
Bending/Stooping - 1 to 2 hours daily.
Driving throughout the day.
Writing/Drafting - 6 to 8 hours daily.
